Milestone: Interest
I love baton twirling almost as much as texting. I text like a plow shoveling through snow, I never stop when it comes to something like my friends or family. I do baton twirling recitals and I teach. Even when I had somewhere to go it was always, " Please let me go! I promise I'll get my homework done after. " On many crystal clear nights when we were sitting by the camp fire, I would get my baton out and twirl random things. Until I got tired and I just put it away and I would go to sleep. Then I think of how I got involved in this. It was actually my Aunt Kimmy. She used to travel around the country and compete in compotitions. She's my godmother and I probly wouldn't be here right now. When I signed up and I saw all of my friends, I had a gut feeling that I couldn't mess-up, like a surgeon doing heart surgery, and I couldn't be bad at anything. But I was totally wrong, my friends were exactly what I needed to do better. I guess putting presure on yourself doesn't make you better, it justin makes you worse.

Milestone: Person
When I was 9, a week before my birthday, I found out a family secret. When you turn double-digits, or ten, you have better luck. I don't think it's true. So when I woke up on my birthday, I smelled the sent of burning candles. I felt so happy when I raced down the stairs to find my whole family waiting for me. Yelling and cheering bounced from ear to ear. Then when I turned around all I felt was cake in my face. Everyone was laughing and I was laughing too! Then I went into my room and got changed into my party dress. When I was getting my eyeliner out I heard my door open. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was my best friend that I hadn't seen in 4 years! She was in Washington with her dad for some business trip. " Oh my gosh! It's really you!" We started jumping all around my room with glitter spilling off my dress with my heels about to brake off. Her hands were as cold as a penguin that just jumped out of the freezing cold water. " I missed you so much! And I even got you a present! " cheered and ran down stairs with a hop in her step. As I was waiting i finished putting my make-up. " Mal! Turn around! " she said quietly said. I turn around to see a brand new plasma screen TV! With a Jonas Brothers CD as a side present. " Oh my gosh! This is the best birthday ever! " we both smiled and went back to listening to the Jonas Brothers.

Milestone: Object
When I was 5, my parents to bring me on a family vacation, to Chadwick Beach in Seaside Heights. As I ran onto the sand I felt how the soft sand was in between my toes and the pointy seashells poking at my feet. I embraced the sweet summer air. As the waves crashed on the shore the dry sand got sprayed with salty water, including me. My mom called me to take a picture. I heard a wave behind me and as i turned around there it was. A four foot wave coming straight towards me. I stopped, froze, and began to shiver. I tasted salt water and I knew it was coming down on me. As the cold ocean wave dropped on me and I got sucked in, but then I felt a hand. It was my dad fiercely pulling me up. But I was so wet I couldn't even pick myself up. As I was walking back to the beach house, I was dripping and filled with sand. I was only 5, so it was kind of hard to keep myself up, my dad finally started to carry me home. My mom was shocked, but after my bath I was out cold on the couch with the soothing sound of waves. When I woke up my mom asked, " Why are you listening to waves when you just got sucked in by one? " " Mom, I only like the waves that don't want to hurt me!"
