The Mall
The mall is a place were you can have fun and shop for many accessories. There is usually at least two floors and the food court is usually upstairs, and all the rest of the fast food restaurants are scattered all around. But the one store in particular that I like the most has to be Love Culture. It has different mixes of colors everywhere you look, even the dressing rooms where different colors. The first thing you see are red high heels and beautiful glistening dresses. That store is right by a pretzel shop, so whenever I get done shopping there I will always go to get a pretzel. Going to the mall is always a trip for me. Especially when your with your friends. And when the store is decorated for Christmas. And the mall. Everyone who goes to the mall knows what I'm talking about.

Rachel's Challenge
Rachel Scott was the first person to be shot in the Columbine High School Shooting. She was a normal 17 year old girl when this happened. Rachel was sitting with her friend Richard Castaldo in the lawn by the library. She was shot in the leg, arm, and head seven times. She was first shot in the leg and then one of the shooters came over to her and asked her if she still believed in God, and her reply was, " You know I do. " and she was continuously shot until she was dead. Later in December 1999, Richard was doing an interview for Time magazine, but he refused to speak of anything about what happened the day Rachel fell victim to the Columbine shooting. The day of the shooting, any chance the students got to run out of the school and make it to safe shelter, they took, cautiously. The smoke from the guns surrounded the school, which made the smoke alarms go off. Soon enough the police and firemen were at the scene. Rachel's brother was in the library with two of his friends and one of them was black. The shooters found the entrance to the library and made a quick plan, kill the black kid. Rachel's brother and his friends hid behind a shelf, but that didn't give them any shelter. They found them and started yelling out racial comments about his color and race. He soon was killed. The shooters heard someone scream out, "HELP!" , so they shot at the wall to make them be quiet. When the shooters had their backs turned Rachel's brother covered himself with his friend's blood spilling out of his body to protect himself from what was coming. His plan worked. He made it out alive, but his sister, Rachel didn't. This day will forever live on, especially for the family of Rachel and the students at Columbine High School. One of Rachel's quotes was, "Don't let your character get camouflaged with your environment. Find who you are and let it stay in its true colors."
